Artificial intelligence is radically transforming our everyday lives, and it is the state’s duty to protect people through this transition and to put technology at their service. We simplify administration, so that endless logins, passwords and verifications no longer eat up your time; and we make public administration faster and more efficient with modern AI tools. As experts in modern technology, we also raise the individual’s security and protect their privacy. A new logic of governance
The structure of the state does not follow people’s lives
Today’s government is divided into ministries, state secretariats and separate policy areas. People’s problems, however, do not appear this way: a child falling behind at school may be connected to the family’s situation, mental health, housing or healthcare. Yet these belong to separate systems that often do not work together.
The state is organised by institutions. People’s lives, however, do not move according to ministries.
Are we sure the current model of government can handle the complex problems of the 21st century? IRÁNY believes that on its own it cannot — the basic structure of governance still rests on a model formed in the 18th–19th centuries. That is why we work on a life-course-based, coordinated state that adapts to people’s real situations, not to the customary boundaries of institutions.
