The IRÁNY a Jövő Party is fielding a single candidate in the election
At its General Assembly, the IRÁNY a Jövő Party decided to run in the election and to field one candidate. The party is fielding Péter Jámbor in National Individual Constituency No. 04 of Somogy County.
Why a single candidate?
- We are aware of current public opinion, and although we do not agree with every part of it, as a responsible political actor we take it into account and respect it.
- With this decision we signal clearly: we do not wish to obstruct the chance of a change of government. Our aim is to build the future, not to further divide the political space.
- For a start-up party, resources are the tightest bottleneck: time, money, people and attention. We are concentrating on one candidate.
- We think in terms of several political cycles. Our aim is stable organisation-building, developing the Iránypont network, creating policy depth and building real governing capability.
- For us, one candidate means a focused campaign. This is where we develop our operating model, our data and activist network, and our communications system. We learn, we refine, we build.
- Our candidate’s goal is not only to perform with dignity but also to show a new political quality: politics based on expertise, free of incitement. We work not against something, but for something.
Why did we not choose simply not to run?
Because politics is not a theoretical genre. If we offer a public alternative, we show it through deeds. Accepting the contest is part of responsibility. We take on the competition, we take on the feedback, we take on the consequences.
By being on the ballot, we make it clear: there is a future-oriented, quietly building, expertise-based electoral option. We do not want to live off the grievances of the past, and we do not react to the daily scandals with indignation. We represent long-term thinking.
Our decision is deliberate. We could have fielded several candidates. Our aim is not to be present at all costs. In this political noise we take on the task of quiet example-setting. It is rare in Hungarian politics, but we do not operate according to the logic of ego.
We are open to professional questions, background conversations and interviews.
